Spoon-Fed Boy

In the past few days, Ace has gotten very interested in operating his own spoon. Dip in the bowl, go to the mouth. After a few attempts where he doesn't get food, he grabs my spoon and gets it to his mouth. He appears to be right-handed, not an addition to the southpaw team from Mama's family tree.

He also got his first haircut last week, but hasn't cooperated with my efforts to get a picture. I'm not sure if anyone can tell from this picture. It's not much shorter in the front, but it isn't curling over his ears anymore, which was making Daddy kind of twitchy.

Go Ace. Self feeding is messy fun!

It's especially fun with colored food like spagetti, then you can get both texture and color! Strider is probable appreciating the "messy fun" too!

Daddy might have to let go of the twitchies later when Ace decides he wants a mohawk, or hair down to his shoulders. Mama, maybe you can tell daddy about John Michael D. from your high school.

Oh, just wait for the day that Moolah cuts Ace's hair when neither Mama or Daddy are looking.

Strider is enjoying the messy fun, and Mama and Daddy appreciate his help. Although, yesterday when one or both of the children managed to fling cranberry juice all the way across the kitchen, he declined to clean that up. Moolah says Ace did it, and evidence suggests she was telling the truth. Oh, well.. the floor needed to be mopped anyway.

I think that Daddy and I will both have the "hair modification is temporary" response, but that remains to be seen.
